Western Trail Saddles Fitting
Western Trail Saddle Fitting
Western Trail Saddle fitting is based on your selected saddle tree because the saddle tree determines the size and shape of your saddle. There are no consistent standards between saddle tree makers to fit various horse breeds and builds.
We use Steele Saddle Trees LLC based in Ashland City, Tennessee for all our saddle trees. Unless you are certain of the saddle tree you need, we recommend following our custom fitting process before ordering a saddle.
To determine the specific saddle tree with the customized fitting you need, follow the saddle fitting process below.

Choosing Your Saddle Tree

Order An EQUImeasure Kit
The EQUImeasure Kit conforms to your horses back and creates a 3-D model used to determine the best saddle tree for your horse. Download our EQUImeasure PDF for kit instructions and ordering link.

Send Your Kit Mold To Steele
Once you have completed making a 3-D model of your horse’s back using the EQUImeasure Kit, mail the mold to Steele Saddle Tree LLC with the information contained in our EQUImeasure PDF instructions.

Receive A Saddle Tree Fit
Be sure to notify Western Trail Saddles when your 3-D Model is sent to Steele and we will let you know the saddle tree specifications to include in your order form.
