WTS Custom Western Trail Saddles are handmade by Old Order Amish craftsman, Henry Miller. Henry Miller made the original Dixieland Gaited Saddles for Cynthia Wright and now makes the same saddles for Western Trail Saddles.

Western Trail Saddles (WTS) are built on Steele Equi-Fit saddle trees and use USA-sourced leather and stainless hardware.

Western Trail Saddles can be custom ordered for Gaited Horses, Tennessee Walking Horses, Missouri Fox Trotters, Standardbred, Morgans, Quarter Horses, Semi-Quarter Horses, Straight-Back Quarter Horses, Arabians, Andalusians, Draft Horses, and Mules.

Order Directly From The Amish

You can now order your custom western trail saddle directly from Amish craftsman, Henry Miller. To order directly from Henry you will need to mail your order form and include your payment in the form of a check.

If you don’t already know the saddle tree you need, we have a new straightforward process for determining the correct fit for your custom western trail saddle.

Choose A Saddle Tree

Either choose a Saddle Tree based on your horse’s build or follow our Saddle Fitting Guide to determine your best saddle tree.

Choose A Saddle Design

The three design styles are Endurance Lite Rider, Butterfly Lite, and Butterfly Regular. See our Saddle Customization Guide for photos of each.

Choose Saddle Features

Saddle features will include things like leather color, tooling, and cantle style. You will find these features on our Customization Guide.

Mail Your Order

Once you have completed your downloaded order form, it is time to mail a check and your order form to Henry Miller.

Customize Your Western Trail Saddle

All our saddles are custom made to order by Henry Miller upon receiving your printed and mailed order form with your payment check. It takes 5-6 weeks to complete your order due to the 4 week time to have your saddle tree made. Henry can can answer your questions by phone when you initiate the conversation by a written letter. Henry’s mailing address is included at the bottom of the page.

Saddles You Can Customize

Every order must be placed by printed order form and mailed to the Amish saddlemaker. The Saddle Tree you order when you complete your printed order form determines if the saddle is made for a quarter horse, gaited horse, draft, mule, etc.

Pictured saddles and approximate prices are samples what can be ordered. Each saddle can be customized in many ways. Most customizations make minor or no difference to the price.
